He has been in the mainstream media since year 1999. He worked at The News International as an Investigative Reporter for almost two years – year 2008 to 2010. He worked for The Nation, Lahore, as Editor National Desk from year 2002 to 2004. He worked for almost a year for Daily Times, Islamabad, as Reporter Investigation. He also worked with daily The Sun, Lahore.

He served as Press Secretary to Former President Sardar Farooq Khan Laghari. He also served as Press Secretary to Former Information Minister Senator Muhammad Ali Durrani. He served as Media Advisor to Fromer Interior Minister Shehryar Khan Afridi.

He worked as senior correspondent at Associated Press of Pakistan (APP) from 2006 to 2013. He served at National Volunteer’s Movement (NVM) as the Director Media. He served as Director Media of Centre for Media & Democracy (CMD).

He frequently writes Op-Ed articles with a special focus on the issues of terrorism, counterterrorism, economic development, regional and trans-regional connectivity and economic integration in Asia Pacific, South Asia and the Middle East.

He is frequent visitor to the countries of Asia Pacific to deliver lectures at international conferences, conclaves and seminars held on Belt & Road Initiative (BRI), its flagship project China, Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and other economic corridors.     

China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) has been his special focus and has extensively written pieces covering various aspects of the corridor since the launch of the project. He has been writing upon conflicts in the South Asia region including Jammu & Kashmir, Afghan war and terrorism. 

He also addressed a conference organized by China’s Good-Neighborliness, Friendship and Cooperation Commission of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (GNFCC SCO) and headed the SCO’s media delegation.

He has been contributing on the economic revolution and conflicts in the Korean Peninsula and have inked pieces on the vibrant democratic model in South Korea, threats to region due to the nuclear ambitions of North Korea and the role of Russia, China and US to de-nuclearize the Korean Peninsula. He has a Master degree in English Literature.
